Abstract:

5,5′′-Bis(hydroxytetramethylenoxymethyl)-2,2′ : 6′,2′′-terpyridine was synthesized in high yields utilizing organotin intermediates and Stille coupling procedures. Different functionalized pyridine precursors were prepared.
