Experimental Techniques in (Parallel) Anionic Polymerizations: An Overview

Guerrero-Sanchez, Carlos; Schubert, Ulrich S.
Abstract:
Anionic polymerization has been a powerful synthetic technique for the preparation of well-defined polymer architectures. Since its appearance 50 years ago it has provided both model materials to perform novel studies in polymer physics as well as commodity polymers in industrial scale. However, with the appearance of modern controlled radical polymerization approaches, experimental procedures used in anionic polymerization had to be updated to the new trends of technology and automation in order to keep itself competitive. This contribution offers a general panorama of anionic polymerization as well as a critical review on the appearance and the development of the experimental
